Since 2020, BeautyUnited has assisted over 80 BIPOC and Latinx
fellows — with 80% reporting annual growth, investment or
increased distribution. The program is helping close the Black-White
gap that leaves $1.5 trillion of economic growth on the table. Only
4-5% of all employees in the US beauty industry are BIPOC.

Furthermore, only 4-7% of beauty brands carried at speciality beauty
boutiques, drugstores and mass retailers are Black brands.
